Paris is a millennial peer in recovery and a passionate advocate for behavioral-health parity for those battling co-occurring disorders. She serves a pivotal role in coordinating the full operations of SAMSHA’s Michigan Building Communities of Recovery initiative. 

Dr. Calvin Trent 

Executive Director 

Dr. Trent was a life-long Detroiter who has always been committed to his family, his community and those suffering from addiction and mental illness. As a national leading advocate of the Recovery Oriented System of Care (ROSC) transformation, Dr. Trent helped to modernize the manner in which citizens suffering from the disease of addiction are viewed and treated by the healthcare that promotes recovery.

Eddie provides innovative peer support services to individuals exiting substance abuse treatment, individuals in long-term recovery, and their families as a certified peer recovery coach and trainer.
